PS tandem pumps - are they interchangeable?

I will be replacing my tandem pump with a rebuilt C & M unit shortly, but can't find the exact one specified for my car from the usual sources (FCP, AutohausAZ, the bird, etc).

Mercedes installed 4 different pumps on the 104.992 engine:

A) 210 466 10 01 - Vickers - engines <= 028124
B) 210 466 11 01 - ZF - engines < = 028124
C) 210 466 22 01 - ZF engines 028125 - 072236
D) 210 466 21 01 - ZF engines >= 072237

My engine is # 099249, so I'm seeking pump D.

All I can find is pump A. Does anyone know if it will work fine? Are these pumps interchangeable?

Why not check with c&m directly.
I'd say they are because parts/system for sls is not pump specific. (different on for each pump).
Mounting may be different, but probably the same.
You can find a phone # on web.

Now why didn't I think of that? :smile I just spoke with C & M.

For posterity:

He says that they operate at the same pressure, mount the same way, and are therefore interchangeable. The later ZF ones are not rebuildable, so they don't supply any with those part numbers.

Now that I think about it, I'm hoping the retailers take my core.

Chris is a great guy, always willing to talk to customers.

Good to know my hypothesis was correct on interchangeabilty, and didn't know the ZF ones are not rebuildable.

Now to check which ones I have (current and partswagen)
