Got a new camera so I was playing with some night shot settings last night.
Looks good.
I know I read something about your AMG kit but can't remember what it was. I see it is not on the car with these pics. But, the question was, what process did you use to take the grill surround to black? I have done it in power coat and paint on different grills with good results but I am trying to see what processes others are using.
Yeah, I have the complete AMG GenII kit along with the ducktail spoiler in my garage right now. I'm aiming to paint and install it within a month or two months tops. In the process of working on some smaller mods so they car can just go into the shop and come out finished with nothing else needed to be done.
The avantgarde grill was powdercoated black - it's started to fade/peel so going to have the shop paint it and color match it to 040.

I have seen the same problem with powdercoat. The fade gets annoying. Other thing I was going to try was Black Chrome but have not looked at that yet. I have an extra grill from a 400E parts car we just pulled apart that might just make a candidate.
Are you going to smooth in the ducktail or apply on top? AMG applied on top of the trunk with either glue or tape but if you have seen Scott's [run.exe] silver 500E, he had his smoothed in and it looks very good.
Hi. Just purchased a E200 in Bright Red. Just like yours. The Bright Red ones are so rare. Looking for ideas how to jazz/sport mine up. Have you got any pics of yours. my email is info@nexia.force9.co.uk
