Hey guys
I'm putting in my new lights that came in today. Taking out the old assembly was easy enough but now i'm at the point where the euro light assembly needs a 5 pin connector and i have a 4 pin from the old setup.
the new assembly came with a new connector peice and 10 new chrome pins (5 for each).
I noted where the old wires/colors went (white/green to 1, red to 2 etc...)
Where do I get the 5th wire from? I think they're for my foglights since when I tried to connect it with only 4 wires, the lights and highbeams worked, but no foglight.

That's the only way I know to have those lights function properly, unless you want to go to the spicing/cuttin/welding new connections.

I just used the old wiring, pulled it out of the old units ran it in the new ones, that way I figure the only thing I'm changing is cosmetic, no real electrical mishaps from new wiring.

I spliced a wire from the parking light to the 5th connector that was open and made it so that the little Peanut (City) Bulb goes on with my side markers (in the first turn position on the dial).
Voila. I didn't think that I would be able to add a city light to my joint, but it turns out that I did and it looks very nice.
The headlight assembly I received has a space for a small Peanut bulb above the H4 casing. I bought a set of PIAA Peanut bulbs and they worked perfectly.
When I was putting the assembly in, and I saw the hole for the bulb - both my friend and I started jizzing ourselves. He was all "I DIDN'T KNOW MERCEDES DID THAT!)#&(*!@#" so now he's gotta get those Angel Eyes for his 7 Series to compete.
As I said I wired the 5th connection from the turning signal corners and when I have the knob in the 2nd of 3 positions the city lights come on.
