Changed chain tensioner, now the car wont start, help! Chain alignment not correct!?

Hi
Changed the chain tensioner to day and think i might have gotten the chain off by one or two positions. I have consulted the manual but the picture and description on how to set the camshafts correct does not match with my engine. The manual talks about syncronizing by putting a pin through a hole but there ar no such hole. How do I get it right again?
My car is a E 280T 1994 with the 104 engine.
