High pitch sound sensor sound ~ E320 wagon

I started my E320 94 wagon up and there was a very high pitch sound, like a sensor going off coming from the front passenger side dash.. can't hear it from the outside. Eventually it stopped. Then the next time I started it, it started to make the sound, then quit and made it in short intervals then quit.

Anyone know what this could be??

Thanks in advance!

it sounds like the "lights on warning"

try it and see, leave your lights on, take the keys out the ignition and open a door - see if it makes the same noise.

If it is you probably have an earth fault somewhere on the circuit. We had this problem with our W123 and never did get to the bottom of it [:)]
