The rubber inserts for my headlight wipers are about dead so I went to my dealer and bought new ones (and they sure were expensive...$14 ea.). Anyway, I can't figure out how to take the old ones out. Is there a trick to it? Thanks for your help.

My guess is that you are talking about the wiper blade. When I replaced mine they came with the metal part as well then just snapped into the wiper. I bought mine at an import autoparts store though.
Next time don't buy them, just take the rubber (24" long refill)part from an old but still in good shape regular Bosch wiper and cut it to fit the size of the small headlights wipers. Replace only the rubber not the the metal arc that holds it.
The windshield refill from a 124 will give you 3+ sets of headlight refill wipers.[;)]
