Brighter headlight w/o Euro upgrade?

Wondering if it is possible to get more light from my stock US '86 headlights without going the expensive route of a Euro light upgrade?

Anyone successful at this?

its a weak ass lamp assembly(US spec)... if/when u purchase a euro lamp assembly you will know where the money went.

if you want to keep the 9004 US lamps you can upgrade the wiring and bulbs to higher wattage...
