I have just recently purchased this car? Any information.....

I have purchased this 1988 300e recently, and I'm stumped to find much information on it. I believe it has a 95 front end conversion, with euro lights, and an amg body kit/wheels. The car has 88000kms and seems to be in great condition. This is my first Mercedes-Benz but i believe i found a gem. If anyone can identify parts or has any information based on the pictures please let me know. Thanks
Matty

Wow!
That is one nice car!
the body-kit is really cool. the good old original one. I also especially like the steering wheel of AMG for the 124, 201 series.
oh yes, I don't think the front is a 95 conversion. it does have the euro lights. (I'm lucky I don't live in the US[:D], all our mercs are euro spec[:D][8D][:p])
well,
congrats on your new car, and have fun taking care of it, driving it, and loving it!

best regards,

matteus

Nice Car.
The grill is called S600 or Avantgarde. Look at my gallery and see that my car has one too. You can purchase Avantgarde grill from www.bekkers.com

One chill car, just please do a couple things: take off those fake lights in the trunk, take off those window things, and put 18's on it!

18 inch wheels??!

Are you kidding me? That is WAY too big. It is one thing on a 500E/E500 but on any other W124, 18s are TOO big unless you REALLY have the power to match the looks.

GRILL

Congrads first on your new ride. Looks really good.

Few things...

1) You asked if you had a 95 front end. Not in this case yours is a 86-93.
2) I agree with taking off the lights on the rear, looks a little to 80'ish. But it's your call..Ohh yeah those window reflector things gotta go and I'm not really feeling that VW fuba antenna, switch to a Benz GPS one.
3) 18's would fit and look NICE!! But alot of 300 owners that roll 18's, would reconsider switching to 17's. Defenitly get bigger rims..17's!!!

Otherwise just get some good black wax, and rub out all the little swirls and scratches. It'll make a big difference..I can't wait to repaint mine.
