Greg in Oz can you help?

Is there a service manual of any description for my 126 Chassis 1987 300SEL available in Australia I am going nuts here trying to figure out what to do. Haynes make a manual for a 124 that reckons it caters for a 300 engine but the photos in the book look different to my engine. There's stuff available at Alldata but I have no idea how it all relates back to Aussie delivered cars and how much it would cost etc. There's also CD's available on Ebay but I just don't know enough about it to get into it. I can't believe that such a mass produced classic vehicle doesn't specifically have it's own manual. I'm lost as to what to do, I am a novice and it's driving me crazy. I also feel like an idiot for asking so many times. HELP me please......
ps If this request has been asked before, please forgive me....

Workshop manual

I can't comment on the availability of a Haynes W126 manual, although I can say that the M103 used in the W126 300SE & 300SEL is the same as that in the W124 300E. Whether you would want to outlay for a W124 manual for the engine only is up to you. Have you tried posting as to the availability of a W126 manual on that forum?

I placed a query on the 126 forum a while ago and that's where I got the info about the Haynes 124 manual being the same as the M103 in the 300SE and SEL's but when I browsed thru the book it looked a different motor but if you say it's the same then that's good enough for me. I don't mind paying $50 or so for a motor only manual. It'd probably pay for itself in no time at all.
thanks Greg
Cheers
