I might be wrong, but it could just be alternator noise. I think its caused because as you speed up, your alternator also regenerates more power. Thus, it increases the voltage and gets some to the speakers, causing it to have a buzz or certain noise. I believe a inductor or a capicator will fix it. I'm not sure which one, but pretty sure its the inductor. Can anyone else correct me if i'm wrong? Thanks.

I have an update. It was the factory amp that was giving the problem. Once it was removed from the "mix", things started sounding real good. I have not had a problem since the repair.
As per your suggestion about alt. noise....that is usually a whine that is present all the time. This noise came and went, it seemed to only appear when the car hit 40 and 50 mph. This is why I thought it was some sort of tach signal.
But thanks for the tip anyway. I hope this helps someone in the future to NOT go through the heart ache I did.

I get that on the AM band when no station is present. It buzzes like a bad Civic with a fart pipe. Me and amy friends like to blast the radio on that and play Ricer.
