That sucks [V]! I would have a reputable body shop look at that. Can I see a pic? I, mean hopefully its not warranting a new trunk lid. Well, I don't know about you, but my insurance company gave me a new hood, headlights, and grill when my wonderful girlfriend messed up my 400E. (I'm sure she told You)

Here is a setup that MB used to prove the strength of the A-pillar of the W124 E-class. The one A-pillar is strong enough to support the entire weight of the 190E. Even today, this is no easy feat for other cars, let alone one from the mid-1980's!
