they say every single lake in Maryland is artificial, well i am unhappy to say there's yet another one, and its in my car.
this is a pretty common problem ive heard and the possible causes i've heard are a hole in the battery pan and a leaky seal in the front windshield.
unfortunatly, the shop i go to says it would be a few hundred to fix the window and he also said to check under the battery. can anyone advise me on a cheaper way to fix the window seal as well as how i can remove the battery without getting electricuted and possibly killed?
also, the lake used to just be in the seat wells after a storm. as the drains arent at the lowest point in the floor pan, i drilled new ones. i had to take the mats out permanatly cuz they get water logged (the under-mats) and stink/mist up the car. now i have new, intersting problem with water
it seems the water has found a way into the passenger side rear door and when opened, it drains water, for a long time, even days after the rain, it also must have rusted the door closing mechanism because it broke and now opens freely with no pnuematic breaking or "stops".
what is wrong with my poor car! can i fix it myself or should i fork over some molah to have it done right? any comments, replies, or additions will be greatly appreciated!
thx
