Amazing!!

I was on the highway today, and it hit me, the 300E 3.0 is such a phenominal car!! When you actually forget your driving something that is actually making contact with the pavement its amazing.. Super smooth!

Also kicked the tail off of one of those new Jap cars the Altima.. pretty but thats about it

HEY

Was that you that whipped past me? haha
my everyday car is a Nissan Altima..I doubt it though since I'm on the West Coast. No comparison to our Benzo's but I'd rather put the high mileage on
the Altima than my baby...

no offense to anyone, but the term "jap" is pretty inflammatory here in the US (don't know about england) -- kinda like using the "n" word to refer to blacks. i'm not asian so i'm not personally offended or anything, but i have asian friends who would be. just thought you should know....

Hey I'm offended because my girlfriend is a Jewish American Princess.(grin)

All kidding aside, I guess it is not politically correct to say that, but I'm sure he meant no disrespect.

From now on let's just say those cars are German Challenged.[:)]

Mercedes have never been strong performers from a dead stop,, They are built to utilize higher speeds... Although im not all that dissapointend with low end speeds..

Have to agree

When I test drove my car I was kind of disappointed about the performance from the line, 0-60 is not rocket on wheels.
But when I got onto my favorite stretch of backroads and started to roll through the turns, I was very please.
It's a touring sedan, not a dragster, that's for sure.

Very nicely put.... once the RPM's are up and shes pushing out some peak torque the driv...

Very nicely put.... once the RPM's are up and shes pushing out some peak torque the driving of a benz is unsurpassed.. My mother hated my car at first, but then when she took it on the highway to take a 4 hour drive to NY city, she returned it, and now she asks me to use it on a weekly basis... (little hint for her,,, if she had not bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, she could have used the money to buy a very very nice 124.) But i guess its people like her, that keep everyone from owning a Benz..

Well yes I agree with this comment in some way...But when people say that the car is unsurpassed in higher RPM's and stuff like that, what cars are we comparing to? Like the other day I was driving 70km/h in my E280 and this car next to me was riding beside me i then floored the car.... We were up to 120kmh pretty quickly..I was going pretty quick but he floored it too and was going so much quicker...These cars are quick, but you will be surprised at others...Just keepin it real
