cost of head gasket and wiring harness
I am looking at a 95 E320 with 90,000 miles. What should I budget for replacement of a head gasket and a wiring harness at a mb dealer?

Probably 2500 but I don't know I'd do either preemptively if there's no signs of problem.

That expensive?! Or does that include labor...? That just seems outrageous, because replacement head gaskets for my '67 Fiat Dino Coupe (with the Ferrari 206 engine) cost roughly $40 a piece. However, I can't imagine the labor charges if I hired someone else to do it... DIY, baby :)

A head gasket will cost you between $1,400 and $1,600 depending on the shop....
