Steering wheel play

I have like 2"of play in the steering wheel of my 1990 300E.

Where is the screw/ bolt/nut you have to tighten to fix the play?

Thank you guys in advance for your help.

Rafael.

Sounds like you have a problem with the front end rack or arms, unlikely as simple as tightening up the steering wheel, which essentially locks on.

I know the steering wheel play is not "on" the seering wheel itself but on the rack and pinion device, but I also know there is an adjusting screw for this play. The thing is that I believe is on the top of this part, which is unreachable from above, unless you take out the intake manifold. Is it possible that MB designers put an adjusting screw where you can't reach it?
My question, in fact, is Can you get this adjusting screw without taking out the intake manifold?
