I will assume there is a switch that gets triggered to turn off the brake indicator light on the instrument cluster. It appears to be sticking since it occasionally will stay on even though the parking brake has been released. I looked on EPC Online, can't seem to find where the switch is located.
The pedal linkage diagram doesn't show any electrical switch. But thanks on the brake fluid level, it was low and I see now how that can trigger the brake light, which means the sensor is at the brake reservoir.
When it comes time to replace pads, be careful of your fluid level in the master cylinder. If it's full when you compress the calipers, fluid will be pushed out of the MC. If you aren't aware, break fluid will strip paint in short order.
Yeah, currently all new brakes, pads, sensors, rotors and hoses. Last work was on the rears. Still need to get the parking pads replaced. The compressing of the hold down springs are tricky.
Thanks for locating the switch on top of the parking brake mechanism.
