Shit, what I'd give for that car... A signal red 86? 87? euro version with parchment cloth interior. Looks like it may be a diesel.
The music, LOL. Porno music.
Over-the-top procedure -- typically German. Yeah, I'll just cut off a bunch of the molding and water deflector clips and remove the hood. Sure... Just like the Safelite mobile guy LOL.
I'd love to have one of those cutters for urethane. I bought a Kent-Moore electric hot knife and it doesn't work for shit. That was a waste of time/money that I need to ebay.
The design of the rubber buffers/stops and clips at the bottom of the windshield changed over time. Those white plastic, two-piece things were gone by '88.
A MBZ windshield installation kit doesn't include most of the stuff shown in the video and the kit is too expensive for what you get. I paid the steep price *hoping* to get the spacers and buffers but got none of that 124-specific stuff.
Despite the above comments my 88 260E would be in a lot better shape right now if some "pro" windshield installer had followed *half* the steps shown in the video. What a butcher he was.
