peeling vinyl at edge of front door pockets

I have seen the vinyl come unglued along the edge of the front door pockets on a few '94 and '95 E-class cars. Mine has peeled too. There must be a simple fix for this problem. I'm hoping someone can recommend an adhesive and procedure for the fix.

Re: peeling vinyl at edge of front door pockets

I let the dealer fix it and as soon as it got hot it just peeled again. I used super glue gel. It stays put, but it does stiffen the edges of the vinyl. The harder part is keeping it adhered until dry. I used medium binder clips. You have to be careful not to tear the vinyl with the grip of the clips and be careful no to glue the clip to the vinyl. Just line up the clips all along the edge and let it sit overnight. Mine are still sticking after 3 years.

Thanks, Ken. I'll try the super glue gel. Your comments about glue getting on the clips got me to thinking. I may try using something like wax paper to isolate the clamps from the glue. That way if any glue gets on the paper, it would be on the unseen side of the door pocket and any residual glue and paper fragments could be somehow smoothed.
