I had similar problems today after jump-starting my low-battery 300CE. How can you tell if this relay has failed ??

Got the info from Merecedes Shop Forums ( http://www.mercedesshop.com ). Turns out the FUSE (blue 15A) atop the OVP was all that was bad.

On a 300CE, the OVP is located under the black plastic cover behind the battery. The OVP is a beige-colored relay with a clear plastic flip top fuse cover.
