260E Where is the A/C Compressor Cutoff Control Unit ? - Benzworld.org

Hi, 
 
I am trying to determine a A/C compressor problem, it is not starting. In doing so, I was looking for the A/C compressor cutoff control unit (N6) as described in the service manual, BUT cannot locate it based on the figures in the manual, Does anyone know where this unit is ?

Behind the battery on the right side in my 300E. May have to remove a black flap which is just pressed in place. The unit should say Klima and is the one furthest back of the two black units in there. Mine has 10 out of 12 pins present.

I just did this. You need to remove the cover behind the battery, move the engine computer (lift up the whole unit and move to side) remove the Klima relay, jumper pins 5 & 7, start the engine, turn on AC and if the compressor is okay, it too will start whenever you short those two pins, if not, your in the same boat as myself and it's time for a new compressor/clutch.
