viscous clutch how to remove

is it just the one allen bolt in the middle or is there some other way. I need to replace mine so I want to findout how it goes before taking the rad out to do it Thanks in advance

Not sure on the differences to your model, but on the 300E (88) I was able to remove the viscous coupling and fan without removing the rad.<br> Pull the plastic duct-housing clear of the rad (a couple of clips) and then you can get a hand into the space between the rad and the coupling.<br> There were (I believe) 4 - 6 mm cap screws that can be removed with a 6 mm allen wrench. I suggest a supply of bandaids (plasters for some)as the rad face can be quite unforgiving.<br> I was able to remove the screws and then pull the fan and couling all clear. Oh yes....best done on a cold engine.<br> Good luck<br> Ian P.

Cut a piece of cardboard to fit radiator inboard surface to preserve it's fins and your hands.
