Well, I finally broke down and bought a 300e. Its a nice car and all, except for one thing -- The seats. They're all worn looking and stuff, and I bought some 'Leather lotion' and that helped a little..just softened them, but the dark blue seats still look very worn.. (little white ridges). they arent cracked up and broken though where the actual padding is coming out. Is there any suggestions as to what I can do to make my seats lookin' just like new? Also, another thing. I'm 16, just got my license. My parents wanted me to get a safe car, but i'm sort of worried about what kids at school are going to think of me, driving a mercedes. Alot of people have already called me 'nerd' 'snob' and 'dork' for not wanting some muscle car. It made me feel sorta bad :(

I am 21 and have a 300TE wagon among other things. People look at me funny but are still impressed with the build quality, comfort, but also handling and performance for a heavy 80's technology car. Hmm, and the thing is..they seem to think i'm a 'snob' because I drive a benz. Well, too bad I spent the same $ on high end german engeneering than some stupid Ford Mustang. <puke>
Andrew, look man i don't know what kinda school you go to but a benz is pimp. It's a car that'll get you the girls. go to but i'm also 16 and have a 300E and love it. I love my car and don't listen to any shit. Your car will last twice as long and will even handle better than most ghetto muscle cars. Be proud to be a benz owner.

I really dont mean to sound 'whiney' about this at all, its just i've been getting alot of crap about it from people, and I feel sort of. Um, differnt and 'out' of the crowd. My dad said, 'What the hell kind of kid drives a mercedes? Oh, wait. I know! Andrew!' .. Hmpf. :( He thinks it was a mistake.
