Condition is more important than miles. Cosmetic you can do yourself. But true mechanical condition can only be determined by a good mechanic who has experience with the model. I would buy the car in better mechanical condition.
So far it's not showing any signs of being in bad condition. I offered him $6k So he's going to let me know when he gets back from a business trip next week. If he accepts I'm going to take it to work to have the guys there look at it with me. Cosmetically i don't care too much, being a washer/detailer I can clean it up really good. I usually wash my car every 2-3 days and detail every 2 weeks so..I couldn't find any leaks on it or rust. The only things I can see wrong are..<br> Drivers window regulator, When your driving and hit passing gear there is a thump, I forget what my MB mechanic called it but he said that would be $300. And the rear window has some white stuff on the sides(glue maybe??) So pending the check at work and whether he accepts my offer i'll probobly get it. And I have to say my mechanic is the coolest, went to go pay the bill on my '70 250 sedan yesterday, $0. He said it was just a bunch of small stuff so no charge. Thats like the second time he's done that and he's only seen the car twice. :-) Damn i right a lot!
