Say if I bought a set of 4 AMG wheels with measurements of 17x7.5 front (which i know could fit) but the rears are staggered at 17x8.5 .

These would be from a compatable car say like a CLK or W210 E class. What would be needed to be done to the car to fit those wheels?

Is it even possible? Cause I see auctions all over for these kinds of wheels and I think its a good deal if I get tires too.

Otherwise I just could buy a set of 4 that fit from tirerack or something.
well i am not sure what the offsets are on a lot of the wheels im looking at.

I was planning on either the AMG aero II monoblock or the AMG 5-spoke 170 wheels.

Any idea what the offsets are on these particular wheels?
I don't know, but you better measure very carefully. W124's do not work well with 8.5-inch wheels, you will probably have to roll the fenders to make them fit without rubbing. It won't be as bad if the car isn't lowered, but it will probably look odd if you have those wheels on a car with stock ride height. You need a wheel that tucks in as far as possible. The car they are designed to fit have more room in the wheelwells. Good luck, let us know what you find out...

PS: My advice is to get a set of 4 all the same size, so you can rotate tires and extend your tread life. A staggered set better be awfully cheap... ;)

-Dave M.
I guess ill just get the standard 17x7.5' ones.

So what do you think will look better:
AMG aero II monoblock or the AMG 5-spoke 170 wheels?
I notice the E55 uses the monoblocks.
