I have a 1989 300e. The passengers side seat will move and title forward, but will not retreat. The power head rest works fine as does the driver's side seat. Not sure where to start looking for the problem. The electric tilt and seat moved forward with no problmes but noe the seat is fully titled and in the forward position and will not return. No one can even sit init now, please help, thanks..
Have you checked the track to make darn sure it is clear? My sisters 93 accord has been stuck twice in the up position. I looked closely in each case and found a quarter in the track. Took a little contortion, but got them out.

Hope you get 'em.

Dave
I checked the switch in the dorr, all is well. So I removed the seat. The wires that plug into the seat also check out. It's now down to the motor and the cable. I'm thinking the cable's reverse gears are worn, as the motor worked in the forward mode. The wires, switch and cabling are high grade and well put together. I was hoping there might have been a breaker switch or something simple, but if there is I can't locate it. I will trouble shoot the motor tonight. All suggestions are more than welcomed, thanks again...
It's Fixed! The seat has three motors at $188.00 each. The door switch is $76.00. The shop wanted at least an hour to perhaps tell me what was wrong. I stopped off at Radio Shack and spent $7.99 for some contact spray. took the door switch ff again, sprayed it and prestoe! It now works fine. Costs me $7.99. Okay okay, am a slow learner. Thanks for the help.
Hi. My driver's seat will not return to the 'upright postion.' It is currently in 'take a nap' mode. thought I'd try your solution of contact spray but what is it (contact spray)? You don't mean WD40 or something similar do you?
Thanks,
terry
