Thinking of buying a CE and wondering about reliability, things to watch out for and desirable years? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi, the CEs are wonderful cars. Obviously, its desirable to buy a well cared for specimen with limited mileage(i.e. less than 100k miles). The car should have a full service history, as well. Check all electrical gadgets. The 300 24v is rather special, so take a good look at the previous owner. Up to 93, the cars had the traditional MB grille, later cars look more modern. TheyÂ´ve got the modern (very electronic) engines and 5 speed autos as well. Good luck, Wolfram

I would stress what Wolfram suggests re electrical gadgets and carefully check the funktion of the seat belt arms, window lifts and the sunroof mechanism. Tomas
