Just ordered a set of Eibach springs for my car as well as a set of 18X8 Amg Monoblock wheels with 225 40 18 p7000 tires. Do I need to purchase and install a camber correction kit? If so, where can I get one? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
I lowered my 93 300D with Weitec Springs, and Koni Shocks & Struts. Negative Camber is SIGNIFICANT...it took my about 4 months to finally find a camber kit.

Renntech has one for about $400...
K-Mac has one for about $300 and change...i managed to get it for $225 with shipping, haggle with the guy, his name is Jeff Owens, they are located in California, their site is www.kmac.com.au and the number there is 714-628-9555 ask for part no 502026 H

You will notice difference with the camber kit, but there will still be a slight negative camber, nothing you can do about this..

PS...this kit is for the rear tires, when you lower your car, you might not notice a change in the front...however, you can get camber bolts that make them perfectly straight, talk to your mechanic...the front is not that important, but the rear is a problem...

W124_Diesel
geoff i was wondering how much the springs were for the car and where u got them from, can u also let me know of how much it would lower the car and any other help i might need. i have an 89 300ce, and i was looking for some advice
You can get lowering springs for the W124 from many sources, the two most popular (i.e., easiest to find) are Eibach and H&R. Both cost about $250 for the springs, plus installation. You may also need different shocks & struts, the stock units don't handle the increased spring rate very well. Bilstien Sports or KONI's work well, and are about $500/set, plus installation.

Typical drop is 1.0-1.25 inches from the springs alone, but monkeying with the rubber pads (spacers) can adjust this a bit up or down (maybe 0.5-inch either way), and you can always go lower by cutting the coils (not recommended if avoidable.) I got about a 3.0-inch drop on my 1990 300E with H&R springs, thinnest pads, and cutting 1/2 coil up front. If you do this you need to be careful with wider wheels, anything wider than 7.5-inches (with proper offset) will require the fender lips to be rolled.

The TireRack carries springs for this car, and the shocks/struts too.

HTH,

Dave M.
