The front sway bar you can change in your driveway. Its the back one that is the killer because it sits behind the suspension subframe consider it will be a good 2-3 hr labor job. No way to get it out and in without dropping the frame.
Go to this URL to get the part numbers. Also use their partshop to order the parts they are great people! Front bar is $102 back is $88. There are also some bushings that need to be bought. Good Luck!

Like Yal said, the front is pretty easy, and costs roughly $125 with bushings.

Here's a tip for the rear bar. You don't need to totally drop the rear subframe, just loosen the bolts all the way and lower it carefully with a jack under the diff. It just needs to come down a few inches to get the bar in & out. Also, you don't need to disconnect the ABS sensor on the diff, there's enough cable length as long as you just lower the subframe a few inches.

The first time I did this job it took me about 3.5 hours, the second time it only took 1.75 hours. It is worth it though!

Try the link below for good prices on the parts, that's where I got mine. :)

HTH,

Dave M.
1987 300D - 226kmi (Sportline swaybars)
