I recently got a broken down 300E, I have since got it running by replacing the fuel tank (which was rusted <br>out), fuel filter, fuel pump and fuel distributor with OEM mercedes parts. Now the car runs but feels real sluggish and I cannot get the <br>car to rev up past 3500rpm in neutral. I know it is <br>not an ignition problem because I could rev the engine <br>to redline when I would pour gas in the intake. What <br>could this problem be? I was thinking the injectors <br>were clogged or dirty. Any help would be appreciated. <br>Also, the problem goes away slightly but is still <br>noticiable once the car warms up.
Hi, I know my E320 has got a limiter that stops the engine from reving above 4 000rpm when not in gear, is this not causing your problem. Maybe the car thinks it's not in gear!!!
