MB central locking system uses vacuum supplied by a vacuum pump which is electrically operated. As you turn the key a switch turns on the vacuum pump to lock or unlock the doors and trunk. Since it's a central locking system, you just need to tap one entry point and every thing would lock and unlock. It can't get any simpler.

The key is identifying which wire supplies power to the vacuum pump that makes the lock and unlock function. Once identified, it's just a matter of matching them to the wires of the key less entry system. I was even able to connect the light and horn warning and blinking light without disturbing the factory alarm system.

About the cost, I got mine for less than $50 roughly as much as a full tank of gas. I also installed one on a 2001ML W163 because the original keys remote function died and the dealer want $600 for a new AAM. Same as the W124 its central locking system is vacuum operated. So, same principle applies.

Can't figure out the pin connector assignments. It all looks like Chinese characters to me (no offense to Chinese people).

What brand and model number is your keyless entry system?

Keyless entry is bonehead simple on these cars. All you need is 4 wires:
12v
GND
UP
DOWN
You can access all 4 easily at the trunk luck.

Checked the connector assignment online. All you need is in the Primary harness (H1)

h1/2 red (+) constant power
H1/5 black (-) chassis ground
H1/6 violet (+) door trigger input
H 1/8 green (-) door trigger input

Determine the input on the car if it is positive or negative to lock/unlock (I can't remember from the top of my head) and match the violet and green wire of the keyless harness to the vacuum pumps trigger wires.

So, looking at the set of wiring here, what color wires would matchup to my 4 wires White, Black, Red, and Violet?

Also, Thanks so much for your help in this subject!
