1995 E320 Head Gasket/repair shop

Hey all. I recently acquired a 1995 E320 Estate Wagon. Pretty much love it. Thus far I have replaced the wire harness and am working on having the throttle body rebuilt, changed out the ovp, order upgraded ceramic fuses etc. the car does have at least one small oil leak. Even though I would like to do all the work myself, I think an oil leak may be above my head. I am looking for the best, most conscientious shop in or around NC. I live in coastal NC but am willing to take it just about anywhere for a good job. Is it possible I don't need a head gasket with just a small leak? Should I just do it even if its not "necessary"? Any advice and shop suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

A head gasket replacement is a big job so you only want to do this job if its really necessary. You might consider having an Independent Mercedes shop look at it to see where the leak is coming from. If you ultimately let them do the gasket job they probably won't charge you to do the diagnostic work. If they find that the leak is not the head gasket and its something less expensive, then you have saved yourself some money.

Most small leak would come from timing chain cover area. DIY in the stickies if you so mechanical incline. I had live with it for over 10 years just clean them when I felt like to.
