Nice find Stormy. Haven't bought anything from ebay.de, but have used a paypal debit card to open accounts with other German sellers. Paypal is owned by ebay.
Ja Ja it vos Chaber-naiz who kallen it der Mutterland nicht me !

Yeah it's been on there for ages and I had to cross fingers that he didn't sell it.
He accepted paypal although he preferred bank transfer but to transfer funds adds another $30 to the price so thats VERBOTTEN as far as I am concerned !

I actually met a guy at Singapore airport checking in for Emirates to come home who is based in Germany in the freight forwarding business. We were talking cars and he knows how much stuff comes up over there that we in the rest of the world dream of getting ! So I am hoping he will get in touch with me and maybe I can set up a line of communication/discount shipping contact.

I am so tempted to take off all the Zender parts and get them copied. I know there not a huge market for them but thing is if'n you break a bit it would be nice to have a channel for replacement part. And I know a couple of guys who would be keen to get their hands on a complete kit.

Have to think about it as I am sure the paint would get right royally screwed in the process and not sure I want to spend more money getting it done again.

:-) When do you expect to get it?
Are you shipping the rear trunk too?

The spoiler looks a bit similar to the Amg one i have. Its a little shorter.
Probably early next year before I get it. Need a few spare dollars for the shipping !
No I told him to keep the trunk but asked for the badges as spares. - besides it had rust in it !

I have actually found another reproduction part I want which is a rear Zender Badge, similar to the AMG logo on the trunk.

I am considering doing the trunk badges in black plasti-dipm the 300CE, the MB star and the Zender badge to give it that "tuning mystique". Plasti-dip at least is reversible if you decide its look shite-house !

LOOK WHAT I GOT - The Zender Project is almost complete-zender-star-17inch.jpg

Winning auction currently but I don't think I will chase if I get outbid.
I think I prefer the BBS look better.

From all the 124 spoilers available, I think this one is the best looking one, minimalistic and brutal )

You had to have that spoiler, must be really exciting to have finally hooked one. The kit is complete, must feel good...

I have only seen one, just one fully original Zender styled coupe in London ever (I've seen 4 Bugatti Veryons around!) so yours will be a rare beast when it's finished, a great bit of 124 history.

I love the BBS wheels but I have to say those 'Speedline' spoked jobs have a brilliant period look that are more Zender-specific than the others. Plus, SO much easier to clean and polish... GET THEM, they'll look amazing (unless it would lead to bankruptcy and divorce, obviously).

Anyway, looks like you're spending your holidays in the best possible way dude.

NEVER bid less than your full boat, top dollar willing to pay amount...
and ONLY bid once at 6-8 seconds left.

Auctionsniper.com has been my standard approach for years...other sites do the same thing.

Bidding that way, you expect the other guy's best shot, at 7 seconds left, no time to respond, so either put up or...hope.

If I must have an item, I bid well over the real value. If I love the item, but only want it at a steal of a price, I bid accordingly. Either way, I do not watch the auction, that introduces emotion.

Yeah I should have known that by now.
The seller offered them to me and offered to end the auction but his price was overboard.
700 Euro for the wheels and 300 Euro shipping. Almost $1300 Aussie dollars.
My max bid was 400 Euro and 300 shipping - bidding over that would have been spending money for the sake of spending.
I did really want to have the full Zender kit and kaboodle as Moth suggested but it obviously wasn't meant to be this time around.

Besides which I did score that spoiler just recently and need to have that shipped. Then of course it has to be painted and fitted so there's expense that goes with buying something that is not "plug and play".

I have a little list of things to do also:
Front rotors and pads (incidentally if you wonder what the green brakes light does when the pads wear down it comes on ever so slightly indicating you have to replace them soon and then starts full illumination blinking on brake application as it gets more worn)
Fuel injectors (to see if I can get the cold start fixed)
New speedo Cable
Fit the replacement rear door cards I got in Singapore
Replace the drivers seat belt (frayed) with the one I got in Singapore
and ...
despite putting a replacement fuel sender in (the resistance wires snapped during the cleaning process on the old one - won't try that again) , the gauge wobbles still and I can't find that Stabilant stuff here in Australia. Thking I might try to measure the resistance on the unpowered sender and get a couple of resistors soldered in place of the flakey potientometer as another BW gy did.
