Years ago when these Asian knock-offs first started appearing on ebay, the kits were pretty complete, including plugs, new blank panels and often the turnsignal lenses. But, as they became more readily available, price pressures due to competition forced sellers to strip out the content so that now most "kits" just include the lights themselves.
And I'm very grateful to this forum for letting me know that so when I ordered my headlights and had the front end disassembled I wasn't like "WTF?"

If your current headlights take a 900x type bulb, you have the plastic US headlights. While it may "look" like glass, it's a very tough plastic.
I believe the USA DOT lights have a glass lens in front of the 9004 bulb, but a separate plastic lens (which some people call a "door") in front of the H3 bulb. The Euro lenses are 1-piece glass.
If you get Euro lights, spend a few bucks more on Lamin-X protective film for the lenses. The glass lenses attract rocks and can get chipped or broken much too easily. The protective film helps considerably, and is much cheaper than $75-$100 for each replacement glass Euro lens.

Love the "Due to European style, some modification needed" on that eBay ad. I wonder why some vendors don't simply tell you that the E-Codes use a 5 wire connector and DOTs use a 4. Nor do I understand why the eBay adapters (1) don't come with a connector and (2) cost so much - go figure....
I've never seen those before, and they are a ripoff, IMO. What a joke. Click here to see a proper Euro headlight connector kit, and at a much lower price, too.

That's more like what I was expecting to see. Today while strolling the u-pull-it yard I found some 5 pins in a Benz and for $3 I brought them (and some other items) home with me .
