So I've just completed a nice little tune up with plugs and distributor cap etc and now the car is saying thanks with a clicking noise. Grrr.
It occurs whilst the car is in Drive and foot on the brake. It doesn't make noise in neutral or park.
Any ideas what this new noise is?
Cheers.
Somewhere under the hood, been doing some searching, consensus seems to point towards mounts on the engine or tranny being worn. Will have to have a look underneath.
I have recently had an issue with my cruise control 'clicking' under the hood after playing with the OVP... If I move the lever up it slows the click down and eventually stops it.
Get a three foot piece of 1/2" copper tubing and listen all over your engine with your ear to the tubing. Sounds like a lifter, but we're at a real disadvantage here just speculating.
