Limp home mode, srs light on 1995 e320...

I have a 95 e320 last week while driving and at a stop light the srs light came on and i went to pull off and no acceleration. I pulled over turned car off and restarted, then the light went off and it drove normal.... Yesterday it happened and light on and it won't go over 20 miles. I was told it I'd in limp home mode for protection. I have a damaged seat belt that the track and screws have UN bolted . I was told that could be part of the malfunction of srs light. Haven't gotten ant codes read as of yet. But a friend said that the airbag put car in Protection.

First step would be to replace the OVP relay with a brand new genuine MB or KAE(hler) OVP relay as well as replacing all the fuses with the updated copper core type in the fusebox.

Then report back with any change in behavior especially on the SRS light, because after this it's going to get expensive as limp home is usually by eco junk wiring if your car's wiring is still original.

See link.

The OVP relay regulates all electronics dedicated to engine management. OVP = Over Voltage Protection Relay

Just an update, when my seatbelt buckle part broke, the latch part was replaced with new one from junkyard, i just realized the other one with wire attached is tucked under seat. So the new one was not attached to the srs system. Wth.
