Replacing headlights while keeping assembly

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I have hella headlights installed, but they've lost their reflective plating. The lights are so dim I have to use the inner lights to see anything at night, so I can't really ignore the issue.

I quite like the look of the hella lights, and would rather replace part of them than have to buy two new assemblies. Is there any way to replace the bulb and reflector, or am I stuck with replacing everything? I admit, I haven't had the chance to take them out and disassemble them yet, so any advice would be helpful.

Although I think your best bet is to pull the assembly out and see exactly what's going on, search my posts for brighter replacement bulbs.

Thanks for the advice, I'll crack open my headlights in the next day or two (stupid rain). I like your solution, hope I can apply it to my car.
