Besides the fenders, you'll also need the front bumper from/for a 500E. A stock W124 bumper won't cut the mustard.. If you can find the parts, expect to pay in the neighborhood of $1500 for the bumper alone.
Not clear if this thread is in support of a repair to a 500e or modding a more standard W124 to 500e appearance. If this is someone going the modding route, the cladding is unique to the 500e fenders so you will need to plan on sourcing two of these. And yes, the front valance/bumper cover is needed to finish off the nose properly.
The problem you will encounter will be the 500e fenders with a non 500e rocker panel. The rockers on the '90 and up cars are not the same boxed rocker that is on the 500e.
I am looking for wide w124 fenders, please suggest any place where i could get them from. i guess i would require the wider bumper aswell? i did check out the parts.com website..but for that the bumper for 300E AND 500E look exactly the same in diagram. not sure where to get them from. please help.
