Well then for new cars at least, somebody down there is lining their pockets with pure gold. The logistics of getting the car imported there and then using an unusually high market to rape customers.

Hey Tight-Ass....is this something we need to consider; I arrange to get the cars down there and then your front/sell them??? We retire...five yrs tops, then just sell the blue sky, er....I mean 'business' to somebody else....:D:D

Wagon / Estate / Break / Kombi fans...

...will like this one. It's a UK car and a real collector's item: 56,000 miles and looks about as genuine as you could wish for. We all know that mileage this low is unheard of on a work-horse TE, but what makes this even more unusual is that's it's an '86 model, so one of the very first. Can it really be 27 years since the S124's appeared?

The early-style body trim and detailing is rare now and it's great to see one of the originals looking like this, rather than wearing a DIY 'facelift'. English Winters are car-killers too, so most pre-1990 UK cars are long dead anyway.

Be interesting to see how much it makes, I expect the UK specialist dealers are bidding - they'd ask maybe £12,000 ($19,000) for it. After all, it's going to be hard to find a better early example than this again. I'd love to own it, could be a show-winner (though I'd probably add some 15-hole alloys...)
