sunroof lubrication

Hi,
The sunroof of my wagon does not slide smoothly, but gets stucked and then with some help it works. I have checked the rails where it slides: it is completely dry. Would not it need some lubrication? If yes any type or is there something special to be used? thanks

not necessarily winmutt .. my sunroof worked perfectly until my wife left it open at a dirt track race one night ... it stuck about halfway thru the movement ...

mine barely opened when i got it - some penetrating lube down the rails. work it back and forth, washe the rails out and more lube, after about half an hour it openes and closes like new. it would blow the fuse before.

FWIW, I have small reasonably sized tins that would last normal people a lifetime available for 10.50 shipped in the CONUS.

Drop me a note if you are in need!
