Probably because the Ebay seller is not the owner of the car and can't answer any important questions. Owner seems to be not answering his phone either.
Pictures in the Ebay auction are several years old, when the original builder of the car was selling it on Ebay (its in the Brumos service facility in some pictures). It does not look like any of those pictures are current.
In the ad, seller answers the question.

Amazed no one bid, maybe there's too much suspicion with the low start bid or the 3 "Events" on it's history. A deal may have been made offline to avoid the eBay fees, time will tell. To me it's an awesome car and any perceived flaws can be easily corrected...
