Climate controll, full heat or full cold only.

I have searched again but no one seem to have had this problem....

I get cold air from the vents if i turn the dial/dials to full cold.
But as soon as I turn it past the "click" towards a bit warmer (under 18C) i get full heat!!!
Of course only cold from center vents.

Any clues?

I have not checked the sucking motor that sucks in air to the sensor in the roof.

PS. Yes... a lot of electrical issues with this car that has been standing still since 2007.

I will check that!

It seems that someone has "been" there before as the panel is not hooked shut against the roof.
You can bend it down in the back and see the hooks and "stuff".

I guess I only need to remove the sun visors and bits of roof/door trimmings to set it back, right!?

not sure about your model, but in mine you don't need to remove anything...you just have to pry it open with a screw driver from the passenger side if i remember correctly

I have a w124 300TE 24v.
Yes, I need not to remove the whole panel for the cleaning job.
I was just thinking of fixing the panel at the same time and wondering if my thinking was right about the removal-assembly.

Cheers

Blend door so vacuum to the pods or bad pods could be in question. The vacuum block is across from the sampling motor your looked at behind the glove box/airbag. Look up ps2cho on pods he just replaced all of his.

I checked the temp sensor in the roof. The contact was slightly corroded and I cleaned it.
The pump sucks air as it should.

Then I opened the glove box and found a vacuum block to the left with one 3 pole contact and a few hoses on it. What kind of control block is that?

Anyways, if I feel that it's a bit cold in the mornings going to work I have to set it on MAX heat to get it to heat. Otherwise it's cold.... or sometimes it seems to work. And then turn to cold again... darn.

In the afternoon when it's warm I mostly have to set it to MAX cold, otherwise it will push warm air through the vents.

Tested yesterday to set max cold on the drivers side and max hot on the passengers side.
Result was hot air to both sides.

Where the heck is the master unit for this climate control?
Is it behind the panel itself?

Cheers!
