1987 300 TD Timing
The vacuum pump broke damaging the pulley that activates it, therefore I have to replace the pulley but Don't know how to put the timing on a diesel, I have knowledge on gasoline cars but not diesel, could anyone suggest a web site, link or e-mail me something where I could read and understand about it? better yet if have done this job before and could exchange some information will be very helpful.
I'm inserting pictures of the vacuum pump( I already have a replacement) and a picture of the damaged gear.

Bummer. These issues seem to be cropping up more and more now that the cars are aging. You'll need to swap out the injection timer, which either took out the vacuum pump, or the other way around. The function of the ramp is critical for the long term health of the pump. This link should provide you with all the guidance you'll need to swap both out and then set the timing. Incidentally, it's preferable to have the proper timing tools, but it can actually be done with little more than a flashlight and a mirror, if needed.
