Hi,

When ordering parts for a U.S. spec w124 is the driver's side the left side or the right side? I need to order a passenger side front control arm.

Thanks,

Steve

Thank you for clarifying that actually many civilised countries drive on the left (correct) hand side of the road.

But back to the point, what about ordering vehicle parts according to its parked position

ie; nearside (n/s) - meaning the side nearest to the gutter
&
offside (o/s) - meaning the side furthest from the gutter

So in the US if you want your front right tyre changed at a dealer you say n/s/f and the rear left tyre is o/s/r.

The cars position is relative to the gutter not the driver.

Actually MOST all the world is Right Hand Drive Except for the Americas and Europe.. (UK being the exception in the EU.)
