I checked the main wiring harness and it was bad so I replaced it. But it didn't fix my problem. I got all my dash lights lit and when I press the brake or singal to the left my diesel gage moves up and down. Also my radio started playing intermittently and my power seat doesn't go back. After I replaced the main wiring harness my heater motor will not stop when I turn it off. Is there a common area where these wires meet and wear out. Or the lower wiring harness as some of the other posts mentioned. I don't want to take it to a shop if I could do it myself.
Your diesel gage sounds like a the contraption on the back of the cluster is going bad. Check fuel gage in search for repair. Lots of help there. Also there is a ground wire behind the gage cluster that will help once you clean it.
Radio intermittently is a loose wire most likely, stock deck it may just be going bad.
I am pretty sure you CCU is going out if your fan blower wont turn off. Does the fan turn off when you press the O? if so it may be your sampling motor instead.
Usually when all the dash lights start lighting up or if they start to flicker it can be considered another low battery sign of a sign that the alternator or voltage regulator are in need of service.
That makes sense, because right when the lights lite up I had to jump my car. I will test the voltage output of the alternator. Thanks for the info. I also fixed the power seat problem, it was the switch. I used the switch from the passenger side to see if the motors would work and they did.
Ok the alternator, voltage regulator, and battery were all bad. That fixed my lights lit up now I got to figure out why my tach is not working and ASR is lit. According to the other posts it is my OVP relay. I think I fried it when I was jumping my car I put the pos on the neg.
