Trunk light switch location?

I'm having a bit of a problem with the trunk light.
It comes on when I open the trunk, but goes back out when the trunk lid is about half open.

Questions:

(1) Any ideas?
(2) Where is that darn switch, I can't find it...
(3) Is it a mercury switch?

The plunger switch is located on the trunk lid, to the side of the latch assembly. Strong chance that your problem is in the wiring harness that's attached to the left rear trunk henge at the point the harness "flexes" with opening, closing. I'd look for a broken or near broken ground wire (brown).

Good Luck,

Jayare

Thanks, I'll start looking there.
