For 2 or 3 days my 1993 300E 3.2 mercedes will run fine, run like a dream
For 2 or 3 days afterwords the car will not start!
I checked and/or replaced:
Fuel pump
fuel relay
green fuel relay
gas cap
spark plugs
spark wires
battery
fuel pressure regulator
fuel filter
fuel lines (they did have gunk in them, but not no more)
When you say "it won't start" what are the symptoms? Do you hear the starter cranking and the engine does not turn on or is it completely dead? (No starter action)

any suggestions?
Has the main engine compartment wiring harness ever been replaced ?
The original harnesses were problematic with the insulation of the individual wires breaking down under the overall wrap causing intermittent and sometimes fatal conditions.
Expensive repair...$1500.00 +++
Ya I would check the wiring harness. But did you do a full tune up ever? The only time my MB wouldnt start (and I have had alot of issues with it) was when the coils went bad along with coil wires, and I don meen the only time it wouldnt start.

It cranks over fine. The starter works.
I dont know if it matters but, it only starts in cooler temps, such as nightime.
In the afternoon, no start what so ever.
