Goodbye Merc...

I decided to disposed my 93 MB due to continues maintenance and repair. I spend more time repairing my MB than driving it. Not to mention, I just spend 3000 for transmission recently. It is a lost to me, but it is time.

My new car is Lexus.

To the forum, thanks for all the help....

Im sorry for your loss, +1 on your return, nothing like a good working w124 (which is always paired with a honest, proficient indie or a dedicated diy owner or both)

Yep, sometimes you just have to cut your losses. It really benefits you if you are able to do your own work, especially as these cars get into the slow rebuilding phase of their lifes. Probably the next owner of your old car will appreciate all hte work you already had done and be able to keep it alive a little longer. Good luck with your new car - I will be very interested in how you fell about the drivability of your Lexus. I have driven a couple and they seem to lack the "soul" of a Mercedes. Seemed to be like driving a Buick - which many people seem to enjoy, but I prefer the solid feel and nice handling characteristics of the Mercedes. The Lexus's I drove lack that feel. Best of luck and please let me know how you like the Lexus compared to the Mercedes (as far as the joy of driving it)

I agree. move on and get another car. Friend is a master tech at a Lexus dealer. he owned several Lexus and always recommend their cars. I sat in his cars. Just look at the dash and I know I don't want to own a Lexus. It's just a high end Toyota Camry. Reliable but boring.

Your dad hit your 300e with the 750iL? No beer for him for one month.
