I had to replace the kickdown cable that goes from the throttle linkage to the transmission, and with the new one on there in the same position (same number of threads showing on the cable adjuster) as the old one, there's some slack in the cable and the transmission doesn't downshift when you "gun it". Does anyone have the proper procedure or any advice on how to adjust that cable?
I would think the proper thing would be to take all the slack out of the cable, but I'm not totally sure.
