FS: 300e 124 intrax lowering springs

I have a set of intrax lowering springs for the 124 6cyl models. The rear springs have 3/4 of a ring cut out to bring the back down a little. The car still has about an inch of rake from front to back. I will also include #2 spring pads for the front and #1 spring pads for the rear. $150 picked up or $170 shipped. If you have any questions please pm me or call. I'm located in So. California in O.C.

Thanks/Tim

Did you dremel through the rear coils? If so, how is the ride at high speeds? I've read that cut springs result in really unstable driving at higher speeds. I may be interested

I cut the rear springs with a handheld grinder that had a cut off wheel attached. I honestly don't think it affects the ride at high speed. Usally there is a dead ring in the coil that is used for centering and from what I can tell doesn't actually affect the spring rate. Since there is only 3/4 of a ring cut out I think you would be hard pressed to notice any difference.

Better safe than sorry in the end.

It's always better to have a peace of mind when driving a W124 at high speeds.

damn Chris I'm really debating whether I should bite or not....I'm running stock height and its killing me, and to be honest I want low springs.....from what I've read Intrax is the way to go low.

Chack can you affirm that you have driven over 100mph without these things turning your w124 into a squirrelly mess?

Honestly, it's not an issue. I have Eibachs on my car right now with 3/4 of a ring cut out front and rear and have been up to 95 so far and the car is so stable. 2phast on this board with the 500e had a 190e that had eibachs with one ring cut out front and rear and he knows what he's doing. Anyway, lower stiffer springs with maybe some bilstein sports is going to feel alot more stable at higher speeds than a stock set up.

Interested in the spring kit. Still for sale? How fast can you get them to zip code 13669? How long were they used for? Thanks, Dave
