There is no reset for this light. You either have low oil level or a bad sending unit. They are known for failure and inexpensive/easy to change. The unit is located on the drivers side of the oil pan. It's suggested to do the change out while you have the oil drained for a change.
The oil indicator light on my 1987 300D flashed briefly this evening (about 4 or 5 seconds) then went out. When I checked the oil level, it was right where it was a few weeks ago -- halfway between the minimum and maximum marks. So I put in half a quart of Rotella to bring it to the max level. But the oil light does not come on now when the key is in lock position 2 (don't really recall if it ever did, but the manual says it should).
Suggestions?
